Narberth A Capella Voice Festival – an uplifting, joyous way to participate in the Arts of voice and singing – the perfect antidote to a bleak February. 15/16 Feb 2020.

Span Arts is all about encouraging engagement and participation in the arts that can bring meaningful experiences, reduce rural isolation, loneliness and deprivation, boost wellbeing and enrich the lives of the people living in predominantly rural Pembrokeshire.

Span Arts has gathered a plethera of examples showing how participation in community arts events can bring communities across Pembrokeshire together and boost wellbeing. Some of our most uplifting examples are the Narberth A Capella Voice Festival (NAVF), the intergenerational choir Côr Pawb and Caring Choirs project – each bring people together through song, whether in the listening or in the singing together in unison.

Kirsty Martin – Workshop on Choral Activism

NAVF provides a unique opportunity over a whole weekend to listen to outstanding bare voice performances and participate in signing workshops. Côr Pawb has been benefits of singing through their community singing days and performances. The Caring Choirs project brings singing into care settings around the county resulting a very special group of voices. Food for the soul.

NAVF returns after a year’s break and brings all these elements together, with a really exciting and wide selection of opportunities to participate in the voice and singing arts; and more chances to feel your soul lifted, your heart filled and your wellbeing boosted through voice and song.

You can participate in a variety of singing workshops being offered over two days at NAVF (15/16 Feb) – by the performers – featuring Irish/folk, Indian, Corsican, Georgian, Welsh and Looping alongside Molara’s Sing for Wellbeing clinic.

You can participate in the NAVF Singing Feast (15 Feb)– feeding your belly alongside feeding your soul with performers singing for their supper.

You can participate in the Celebration of Community and Song with the launch of the new singing project Raise Your Voice Pembrokeshire on 16 Feb. Following a heartfelt performance of an inspirational and international repertoire from Span Arts’ Côr Pawb and Caring Choirs you are invited to participate in an extraordinary one-off Multi-Generational Choir Record Breaking Attempt  that aims to bring people aged from 0 – 99 together to sing in unison and raise funds for local youth and dementia charities.  We already have a 99-yr old signed up and a 1-year old, so please come along and add your age to the range.

Come along to NAVF and feel the power of song lift your soul, swell your heart and boost your wellbeing!
