SPAN Arts: 2025 End-of-Year Highlights

As we reach the end of another vibrant year at SPAN Arts, we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything that has unfolded across our creative spaces. It has been a year defined by imagination, collaboration, and the incredible spirit of the Pembrokeshire community. We couldn’t be more grateful for the people who have walked through our doors, joined our projects, and brought their energy, curiosity, and talent to everything we do.

A Year of Creative Growth

From workshops and exhibitions to performances and community gatherings, 2025 has seen SPAN deliver one of its most diverse and ambitious programmes yet. Together, we have explored new ideas, nurtured emerging voices, and opened our doors to artists and audiences of all ages.

Our Welcome Wednesday and Creative Connections sessions have become weekly touchstones, places where creativity and wellbeing meet, offering gentle learning, shared moments, and meaningful connection. Whether sewing seaweed, painting, playing ukulele, or meeting artists, participants have brought enthusiasm that continually fuels our work.

Special projects also flourished, from community-led theatre development and Exhibitions like Trysor y Môr, with our Love Stories to Nature Commission, an immersive seaweed-based installation, highlighted the power of local stories told with imagination and care.

A Year of Performance and Participation

Live performance has remained central to SPAN Arts’ mission. We welcomed extraordinary artists back to Pembrokeshire, championed local creative voices, and created opportunities for audiences to experience theatre, music, workshops, storytelling and more.

Through intimate events, seasonal celebrations, youth programmes and creative experiments, we saw how art continues to bring people together, encouraging conversation, reflection, and joy.

A Community That Makes SPAN What It Is

None of this would be possible without you.

This year, hundreds of people took part in SPAN events, some returning regularly, others discovering us for the very first time. Your involvement gives purpose to every workshop, exhibition and performance. You are at the centre of our work.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in sessions, supported our artists, contributed ideas, brought friends along, and helped us nurture a vibrant creative community here in Pembrokeshire. Your engagement is what keeps SPAN thriving.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into a new year, we look forward to more creative opportunities, new collaborations, and continued community engagement. We’re excited for another year of making space for imagination, expression, and shared experiences.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

Thank you for believing in the power of creativity.

And thank you for making SPAN Arts a welcoming home for culture and community.

Here is a list of events, workshops and performances that have happened this year.
